Therapy offers a space to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long is a therapy session?
Each session lasts 60 minutes.
How often will we meet?
Weekly sessions are usually recommended, particularly at the beginning of therapy, as they help provide consistency and support the therapeutic process.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people attend therapy for a few months, while others choose to engage in longer-term work. We can review your needs together as therapy progresses.
Is therapy confidential?
Confidentiality is an important part of therapy. What you discuss in sessions will remain confidential, except in rare circumstances where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or where disclosure is required by law.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I currently offer online therapy via a secure video platform.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss your hopes and expectations, and begin to understand how we might work together.
What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?
Feeling nervous before a first session is completely understandable. Many people feel uncertain about starting therapy. We can take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
